Die Hard Arcade (Dynamite Deka in Japan) is a 3D beat them all from Sega released in 1996 on Sega Titan Video, then on Saturn in 1997. The game was re-released on PlayStation 2 under the title Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 26: Dynamite Deka.
Named Dynamite Deka in Japan, the game has nothing to do with the Die Hard movie series (see Crystal Trap, 58 Minutes to Live and A Day in Hell). It was renamed Die Hard Arcade for distribution outside of Japan following an agreement between Sega and Twentieth Century Fox.
Many combos are possible, the player can use elements of the decor (chairs, tables, boards, knives) against the enemies. He has an energy bar, but the condition of his clothes also provides this information: the more he is hit by enemies, the more they are damaged, until they fall apart and disappear.
At certain times, QTE phases (for Quick Time Event) occur: a button appears on the screen and if it is pressed in time an action is performed by the characters (for example dodge an enemy hit and retaliate), or if the wrong button is pressed, or the button is pressed too late the action fails and the player loses energy or has to face more enemies.
