Our adventure begins in a region of Allraan, a continent with very diverse cultures. It is through the sword and magical objects called "rune lenses" that the history of these lands has been shaped. A story of alliances and wars between humans, beastman elves and desert dwellers. The Galdean Empire has outstripped other nations and discovered technology that amplifies the magic of rune lenses.

Today, the Empire travels the continent in search of an artifact that will further increase its power.

It is during one of these expeditions that Seign Kesling, a young and talented Imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from an isolated village, meet and become friends.

However, a twist of fate will soon drag them into the fires of war forcing them both to re-examine everything they believed to be right and true.
