In 2151 (year 2000 in the Japanese version), in an apocalyptic world, the despot warrior Jade (Jado) took all powers by force. He had a Tower erected and organized tournaments to decide between the best fighters and eliminate them. Four fighters attempt the challenge again and the winner goes to face the six Guardians of the Tour before the final fight with Jade.
The game offers only four playable fighters: Kotono (Japanese), Syoh (Japanese), Vortz (Dutch) and Zazi (American). There are also the other seven unlockable fighters: the six Guardians and Jade. The lack of originality of the characters has been criticized, and the game is considered a Street Fighter clone. Western versions have been censored and specific endings for each character have been removed.
