The Kingdom Stone begins to weaken, and the three ruling houses of the planet are preparing to launch an all-out war to control this precious resource. To make matters worse, a coup d'etat sponsored by an alien army has just occurred in one of its three houses. Avalice's future seems more compromised than ever.

Enter our three curious protagonists: Sash Lilac, a strap, who gets involved in this conflict without realizing it when she sees a strange plane crash and begins to worry about the well-being of her pilot, Carol Tea, a wild cat, whose loyalty to her best friend leads her to face all the challenges that fate presents her, and Milla Basset, an orphan puppy whose innocent quest for friendship will put her right on the line of fire.

Together, our trio of anthropomorphic heroines must find a way to get back into the good graces of each of the three houses, defeat an alien invasion, and uncover the secret nature of the Kingdom Stone before its power wears off ... and that a world war breaks out on their planet.

Freedom Planet is a fast-paced adventure platformer game that pits a reckless dragonoid and her friends against hostile alien powers and alien forces. Adventures await them at every turn, from clashes against giant insects and robots to scenes of mass destruction. Luckily, you have access to various special combat techniques to navigate your way through twelve huge, non-linear levels. You can play the campaign as Lilac, Carol, or Milla (unlockable), each with their own unique gameplay mechanics, an altered story mode depending on the character you're playing with, and even a few unique levels depending on the heroine.

Use Lilac's dragon powers to whip enemies, spin like a cyclone, or slash the skies like a comet. Carol's feline agility allows her to pierce enemies with her punches and kicks, climb walls, or ride a motorbike that defies the laws of gravity. Finally, Milla can use her formidable basset hound ears to fly at close range or her canine magic to create deadly cubes that can be thrown at enemies, compressed to form a directional shield, or used as projectiles.

Use the game's precise controls to reach insane speeds and heights, explore huge levels full of secrets, and uncover alternate paths and secret objects. Send enemies flying, face bosses so big they fill the screen, dodge lasers, drive mine carts, jump from plane to plane, and more!

Play in Adventure Mode to enjoy the game's intense and dramatic storyline, with unique cutscenes for each protagonist and full voice acting, or choose Classic Mode to skip scenes and simply play levels for an uninterrupted gaming experience.
