Evolve in enchanting environments mixing 2D and 3D and get out of trouble with revisited versions of well-known faces such as the Goombas, Maskass and other flagship enemies of the series. It's up to you to reduce them to confetti during turn-based combat, more dynamic than ever!

In the Mushroom Kingdom, where dead calm and flawlessness usually reigns, Olly, the Origami King, has decided to take control of the world and its 2D inhabitants by bending them to his likeness: all in origami and in 3D! Princess Peach finds herself withdrawn and her castle strung together by five large streamers, as many creatures are transformed into Paper Mache Warriors, in the pay of the terrible Olly. Something to crumple the inhabitants, loyal supporters of 2D! Even Bowser finds this king completely nuts! Play as Paper Mario and bend over backwards to save the Kingdom!

· Your 2D world has changed a lot, now some backgrounds and enemies are folded in origami and offer you whole new perspectives. To rescue the princess, you must explore several large areas interconnected by pipes including a Japanese village, an exotic desert, a mysterious island and many other surprising places, among others. Take down the boss hiding there and untie the serpentine! Thanks to Olivia, Paper Mario benefits from a unique origami ability, the Multi-Folded arms that allow him to reach inaccessible areas and manipulate the elements of the scenery to solve puzzles and progress, such as cutting down an old tree to cross a ravine! This world is full of secrets, search everywhere, hit the blocks and shake the trees!

Flatten all your enemies! · Throughout his adventure, Paper Mario will have to face the Origarriors, the origami minions created by King Olly!

A completely revisited combat system: no more face-to-face, this time you are in the heart of an arena and must reposition your enemies as quickly as possible, arranged in concentric circles all around you. Are they aligned like skewers? Launch your "Boot" attack to knock them out. If they're close around you, the "Hammer" attack will cut a corner. The more you can successfully align your enemies, the more attack power you gain.

Against well-wounded bosses, use your 3D attacks: different from classic battles, boss battles require more observation and strategy because this time they are the center of the arena. You can attack with your Multi-folded arms or with elemental origami attacks gleaned as the adventure progresses that will inflict serious damage to the enemy!
